There is a saying that it takes 21 days to build a habit, that wasn’t true for me! I started working out consistently back in October and I hated getting up! After a month of working out, I was not convinced that I could continue, I just couldn’t find the motivation!
Someone once told me that you know you’re getting older when you don’t have a right and left knee anymore, you just have the good one and the bad one and I had developed a bad knee. I concluded that my bad knee was a result of the 50lbs is gained over the span of 2 years! It was time for a change! I came across an ad for Body Boss Method on Instagram and decided to give it a shot.
Body Boss Method is a 12 week HIIT workout guide. The program encourages you to remain active 5 days a week with guided workouts 3 times a week and lighter workout on the other two days. The program also comes with a 4-week pretraining guide.
It was tough! After each workout I was literally dripping sweat, I was sore but I found motivation. I would admit that some of the workouts are really tough and I have to find moderated versions. I am currently in week 4 of the program (8 weeks completed counting the pretraining). You can follow my journey via Instastories (@darkerberrie).
As 2018 kicks off I wanted to ensure that I remained consistent and develop a true fitness habit. I decided to embark on a 100-day journey of fitness and invited some of my Facebook friends to join me. For the next 100 days, I will make health and fitness a priority and make the necessary life changes to establish a true habit. The 100 days will end on April 10th at which time I hope to be down 20 lbs. Wish me luck!!!
